Healthy Food Drive Drop-Off Location
The Nature Coast Volunteer Center is coordinating the Healthy Food Drive and has released this statement "Our local food pantries often find their stock of non-perishable food items depleted after the holidays. The Nature Coast Volunteer Center and AmeriCorps Seniors Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is holding a food drive in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., who once asked “What are you doing for others?” Our goal is to help our local food pantries serve the citizens of Citrus County by providing nutritional food for their families.
Beyond The Stitches will be a drop-off location until January 16th where you can bring the following items to help those in need.
****All donations should be in cans, boxes, plastic containers or sealed packages****
Suggested donations include:
√ Peanut Butter
√ Whole Grain Pasta
√ Pasta Sauces
√ Whole Grain Oats and Cereal
√ Brown Rice
√ Canned Tuna & Chicken in water
√ Canned Fruits in natural juices
√ Canned Vegetables in water
√ Canned Soup (low sodium preferred)
