Erin Underwood’s Sunny Days Table Topper is a quilt-as-you-go project. The topper will be completed in class! Table topper measures 12-1/2” x 40” completed.
This design uses 2-1/2” strips for the background plus a color(s) for the petals and another color for the center of the flowers. For the topper, use 6 strips for a 12-1/2” wide topper. As picture in the pattern, it can be a sunflower, or you might consider a daisy instead!

Please have all pieces cut and labeled including your backing and foam.

| Requirements: | Sewing machine in good working order. ¼” foot if you have one. Making tape or washi tape for the ruler to make the size to be made – Optional. Basic sewing supplies; thread, needles, seam ripper, pins (for pinning down the petals) and clips, etc. Standard ruler: 6x24 is a good size if you have it. Cutting mat. Rotary cutter with sharp blade. Seat cushion if you want one. Background: Quilting cotton or batiks – cut into 2-1/2” strips – or use 2-1/2” jelly rolls – 6 strips WOF. Backing: 1/2 Yard – cut 14” x WOF. This will be trimmed down after quilting. Foam – Soft and Stable or Bosal In-R-Foam or other foam. 40” long x 12-1/2” wide (or 14” wide to give yourself some trim room). (Sew in or single fusible). We will be using the 505 temporary adhesives to apply the foam to the backing. Flowers: • Four 10” squares yellows for the petals. (Do not sub cut). • Two 3-3/4” center for the flowers. Binding: 1/4 yard – cut 2-1/4”. Creative Grids 15-degree Triangle Ruler (CGREU1 or CGRT15). Cut Loose Press – Sunny Days Table Topper Designed by Erin Underwood.
