Beyond The Stitches Newsletter - December 2023

We're so glad you're here! Our Newsletter will provide information on what has transpired during this past month as well as what is coming up. WOW! Here we are in the last month of 2023......this year has gone by so fast. We celebrated many events with you during 2023; thank you for allowing us to travel life's journey with you. > We celebrated our five-year anniversary in July > We experienced several life events with you * Weddings and Graduations * Birth of grandchildren and great grandchildren * Celebration of life as our loved ones and friends passed away * Completion of College careers * Completion of sewing projects that had been put away for years - YOU completed it !! * Some of you were able to join us for Sew & Tell and even take a class - you found that it wasn't as scary as you may have thought. > We continue to grow and our appreciation of our support is deeper than ever * We offer all lines of Baby Lock sewing/quilting/embroidery machines and accessories * We now offer Bernina and Bernette sewing/quilting/embroidery machines and accessories * Our Service Department continues to grow and our 3-Day Prior Program is working well * We offer over 3800 bolts of fabrics * We offer the latest notions, threads, buttons and sewing accessories * Our instructors continue to work toward offering fun, informative classes in our Learning Center We celebrated Mom (aka: Jan S) 84th birthday on November 9th. Yes, she was working on her birthday.

We recently received another delivery of our custom made Clappers, both Large and Small. Yes, we offer custom engraving of these essentials tools so you will not loose yours at the next class or sewing retreat. Paula chose a real cute engraving for hers.

When Ruth V. was in our Learning Center for a class, we couldn't resist taking a picture of Ruth as she continues to be a great supporter of us. Ruth has the Baby Lock Brilliant (and a Bernina from our shop), Kia scissors and beautiful fabrics purchased at our shop that she used to make her sewing machine mat while sitting in her Arrow chair. THANK YOU Ruth for your continued support.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fabric at Beyond The Stitches ..... yes, it arrives daily. We spend hours reviewing the styles, ordering with our various fabric representatives, entering the information in our system, greeting the FedEx and UPS drivers, opening the boxes, assigning the SKU numbers and pricing then we really go to work trying to find a spot for the new arrivals. Our Team then wonders "what project do you think will be created wih the beautiful fabrics that left our shop today?" THANK YOU for helping us find room by purchasing the fabrics for your great projects and even returning with your projects so our Team can celebrate your success with you. You can enroll in classes on our website, call our Team (352) 651-2493 or stop by our shop located at 979 N Suncoast Blvd., Crystal River, FL. THANK YOU to our instructors who are dedicated in sharing their skills and tips with you. Mom (aka: Jan S) had a great IQ Designer class where she shared great information and instruction on IQ Designer function of the machines as well as helped the students create this beautiful holiday pillow.

Oh how we love the Sundress Pattern Drafting class. This class provides the perfect fit for all body types as well as teaches pattern drafting and garment sewing.

We had some beautiful Crazy Christmas Tree table runners created this month. Linda Z. has provided some great tips in class as everyone chose their colors carefully to create another masterpiece.

Do you ever wonder what to do wih the 2.5in x 2.5in pre-cut fabric packs from MODA? We had a great class for the cute Nantucket bag in our Learning Center with Linda Z. using these great pre-cuts.

What a great group - we hope you had fun.

We had a fun class using Deb Canham Studios doll pattern as "Mary Christmas" was created. We missed some pictures but here are a couple.

As you may know we LOVE the Custom Fit Bucket Hat class because not only have we perfected the fit but it is great for women, men and even children. Mom (aka: Jan) has taught so many of these hats in our Learning Center it is great to see customers and their husbands come back and model them for us.

The Easy Striped Table Runner was another fun class in our Learning Center this past month.

**********HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS*************** Thank you for joining us during our Holiday Open House. We had a lot of fun helping you shop, get your scissors sharpened and the fun drawings. Thank you for celebrating the Holiday/Christmas spirit with us. Here are some of the pictures of the drawing winners and the fun we had.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have not attended our Sew & Tell (First Saturday of the month at 10 am) you are missing some great projects and wonderful tips as well as meeting some new friends. Tracy, David and Esther provided some great tips that could be very helpful to you.

The topic of quilt labels was very interesting.

Some of you joined us in November for our, Community Sew-Along - I Found A Quilted Heart, and requested we offer this great event again. Join us Saturday, December 2nd from Noon to 2:00 p.m. in our Learning Center as we come together to create a positive impact on our communities.

Do you have a desire to make someone's day special? Have you learned about I Found A Quilted Heart (IFAQH)? This organization has created an opportunity for you to create hearts from fabric and put them throughout communities for others to find. There is a tag put on each heart that lets the person who found the heart know that it is meant for them to take with them. The person who found the heart (we will call them the "Heart Finder") can choose to go to the website or Facebook page to share their story. You can view reported stories and even sorted by location on the website. There are some powerful stories and well as inspiring stories. You can learn more at the website, Ifoundaquiltedheart.com.

We decided we will create a day where our sewest community can come together and create hearts to "plant" throughout our communities in an effort to spread joy to others. We will have the pre-cut fabric hearts, ribbons, buttons, embellishments, hand sewing needles, thread, batting, stuffing and other items for you to create some hearts, take them with you and enjoy making a positive difference in another person's world. On Saturday, December 2nd from Noon - 2:00 pm we would love to have you join us in our Learning Center to create your special heart(s).

Sewing Machine Updates Many of you are enjoying your new machines purchased during our Holiday Open House. If you have not scheduled your New Machine Owner Class, be sure to give our Team Members a call to get your class scheduled. As you may recall, when you purchase your new machine at Beyond The Stitches, we include your one-on-one classes to learn the great functions of your new machine.   If you didn't get a chance to shop our Holiday Open House, be sure to stop by and visit with our Team Members about the beautiful Baby Lock, Bernina and Bernette sewing, quilting and embroidery machines we offer. There are many ways to shop however your investment in your new machine should be with a retailer that will continue to support you through classes, service and answering your questions. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Service Department Updates Our 3-day Prior Program continues to work well and we have had great feedback.
