What an honor to provide space in our Learning Center on Veteran's Day for a sew-in for Veteran Quilt Tops that were donated to Flight to Honor represented by Lori M.  Thank you to Mom (aka: Jan) for cutting fabric kits and Joy S. for organizing the sew-in day.  Thank you to Julia C., Carole A., Joy S. and Lori M. for sewing all day to create the beautiful quilt tops that will honor several Veterans.  Thank you to Margaret T. for providing lunch, beverages and materials for this wonderful event.  Lori had an opportunity to share the Flight to Honor information with a Veteran that happen to be shopping with his wife.  Please consider putting this event on your calendar for 2026 on Veteran's Day where we will, once again, come together to make a difference.  We invite Veterans to join us, even if you do not sew, there is always something everyone can do (ex: iron, packaging, organizing the fabrics, etc).

It was great sharing the fun, laughter and fantastic sales with those that could participate in our Holiday Open House.  We hope you enjoyed this fun event as well.  Here are a few pictures of some of the lucky door prize winners. 

Thank you to those that helped our Team; Jo & Jim Kerker, Jeremy, Toddie, Linda as well as our Team Members, Gertie, Janette and Lynne.  Mom (aka: Jan) cheered us on from the hospital after her knee replacement and our Service Tech, Gary, cheered us on from Michigan as he had to travel to a family funeral then a quick hunting trip.

Looking for a great way to share the excitement of your completed project, help others celebrate their completed project or even learn a new tip or technique.........then join us for Sew & Tell the First Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m.  Here are some pictures of this past month.

Our Beginner Sewing Class is a great start for the new sewest or simply great reminders of basic information for someone who has been sewing for awhile.  The most recent class was packed filled with tips and techniques that is sure to be really helpful.

Beth D. created a stunning QOV (Quilts of Valor) quilt and had the opportunity of being with the recipient at the QOV ceremony on November 6th.  Way to go Beth.....thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with us.

The Beginner Quilting Table Runner class was a lot of fun filled with great tips that will be used for years to come.

Mom (aka: Jan) received her new knee replacement on November 5th then was at the rehabilitation hospital for a couple of weeks where she was presented with a beautiful prayer quilt from Women on Mission from the First Baptist Church in Crystal River.

Service

It is recommended that you have your sewing/quilting/embroidery machine serviced at least once a year whether you are using it a lot or a little.  When our Team services a machine, we disassemble the machine to ensure the inside of the machine is being cleaned and reviewed.

Make sure that you are using the correct bobbin in your machine and that you are changing your needle every 8 hours of sewing.  The type of needle depends on the project you are working on.  If you have needle questions, be sure to stop by and talk with one of our knowledgeable Team Members.
